Best Over-Ear ANC Headphones for Office Use in 2026

The TAGRY A18 is a hybrid active noise cancelling Bluetooth headphone designed for professionals, travelers, and everyday listeners seeking reliable audio without premium pricing. These over-ear headphones combine modern connectivity with practical features that appeal to remote workers, commuters, and fitness enthusiasts.

The standout feature is undoubtedly the 120-hour battery life, which eliminates charging anxiety for weeks at a time. The 45dB hybrid ANC system effectively silences traffic, airplane cabin noise, and office chatter, while the 6-microphone ENC array ensures your voice comes through crystal clear during calls and video meetings. Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity delivers stable, low-latency performance across smartphones, tablets, laptops, and gaming consoles.

Build quality is solid with comfortable memory foam ear cushions, an adjustable headband, and a lightweight foldable design that travels well. The headphones charge fully in just one hour and include both a 3.5mm AUX cable for wired mode and a USB-C charging cable. Transparency mode lets you hear surroundings without removing the headphones, a practical feature for outdoor use.

The main limitation is the absence of an accompanying app to customize sound profiles, bass, or treble settings. The headband may feel tight initially but loosens with use. Sound quality is balanced and pleasant rather than bass-heavy, which some users may find basic compared to premium alternatives.

For the price point, the TAGRY A18 represents exceptional value. It outperforms expectations with reliable ANC, outstanding battery life, and professional-grade call quality. This is an excellent choice for budget-conscious buyers who refuse to compromise on core functionality and comfort.

The Skullcandy Hesh ANC is a breakthrough option for anyone tired of paying flagship prices for noise-cancelling headphones. These over-ear wireless headphones deliver genuine active noise cancellation powered by four strategically placed microphones, making them perfect for students, remote workers, commuters, and anyone seeking audio escape without breaking the bank.

The standout feature is undoubtedly the battery performance. Twenty-two hours of continuous listening time means you can go weeks between charges with normal use, while the rapid charge technology delivers three hours of playback from just ten minutes of charging. The 4-mic ANC system effectively dampens ambient noise in loud environments like offices, trains, and coffee shops, allowing you to stay immersed in your content. Touch controls make adjusting volume, skipping tracks, and managing calls effortless, and the Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity pairs instantly with phones, tablets, laptops, and gaming consoles.

Design-wise, the Hesh ANC prioritizes comfort and portability over aesthetics. The flat-folding collapsible design collapses into a compact form factor that fits easily into bags and backpacks. The ear pads are genuinely comfortable for all-day wear, and the lightweight construction means you'll forget you're wearing them. Build quality is solid despite the plastic enclosure, with reinforced pads that resist peeling even with regular use. The included Tile finding technology adds practical value, letting you track down your headphones if they go missing.

A few minor considerations: the noise cancellation does allow some ambient sound to filter through at distance, which some users find helpful for situational awareness. The plastic construction feels less premium than metal alternatives, and the ear pads require protective storage in a case to prevent damage when tossed into bags. These are minor trade-offs for the price point.

The verdict is clear: the Skullcandy Hesh ANC delivers exceptional value for anyone prioritizing functionality and battery life over status symbols. With genuine ANC performance, outstanding endurance, and real-world comfort, these headphones deserve serious consideration before spending triple the price on flagship models.

Audio Performance: Dynamic drivers with 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz frequency response and 99.63 dB sensitivity deliver balanced sound across all genres. Impedance of 32 ohms ensures compatibility with all audio devices.

Battery and Charging: 22-hour average battery life with rapid charge feature delivers 3 hours of listening from 10 minutes of charging. Bluetooth 5.0 provides stable, energy-efficient wireless connectivity.

Noise Cancellation: 4-mic active noise cancellation system designed to rival premium competitors. Effective in loud environments while maintaining some ambient awareness.

Design and Build: Over-ear design with flat-folding, collapsible construction. Plastic enclosure with reinforced ear pads. Weight of 0.2g keeps it lightweight for extended wear. Includes 3.5mm jack option as fallback.

Compatibility: Works with laptops, desktops, gaming consoles, tablets, smartphones, smart speakers, televisions, and car audio systems via Bluetooth wireless technology.

Warranty: 2-year manufacturer warranty plus Skullcandy's commitment to quality ensures peace of mind with your purchase.

The Soundcore Q20i Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones represent an exceptional value proposition for commuters, remote workers, and frequent travelers seeking professional-grade audio without the premium price. This renewed model combines advanced noise cancellation technology with an impressive 40-hour battery life, making it a practical choice for anyone who needs reliable audio performance throughout their workday and beyond.

The standout feature is undoubtedly the noise cancellation performance. Four built-in microphones work in concert to filter background noise effectively, whether you're in a packed office, on a crowded commute, or navigating busy streets. Users consistently report that the ANC successfully reduces ambient sound to a low hum, allowing music and calls to come through clearly. The BassUp technology delivers satisfying bass response and crisp highs in wireless mode, while the included AUX cable unlocks Hi-Res certified audio for those seeking studio-level clarity during stationary listening sessions.

Design and comfort are well-considered. The memory foam ear cups provide a comfortable fit suitable for extended wear during long flights and workdays, with users reporting 2.5+ hours of comfortable listening. The over-ear form factor with waterproof construction adds durability, and the compact design folds for portability. The Soundcore app puts comprehensive control at your fingertips, allowing EQ customization, ANC mode switching, and even built-in white noise features for personalized listening experiences.

A notable limitation is that active noise cancellation only works in wireless mode. When you connect via the 3.5mm AUX cable for wired listening, the ANC function disengages, which may disappoint some users seeking ANC benefits during wired use. Additionally, some users report that their own voice gets muffled during phone calls, though incoming audio remains clear. Extended wear in warm environments may also cause some ear sweating, typical of closed-back over-ear designs.

The Soundcore Q20i Hybrid delivers impressive value as a renewed model, offering noise cancellation, exceptional battery life, versatile dual-device connectivity, and quality audio in a comfortable package. It's an excellent choice for budget-conscious buyers who prioritize functionality and all-day comfort over premium brand prestige.

Audio Performance: Dynamic driver with 20Hz-40kHz frequency range, 16 ohm impedance, BassUp technology for enhanced bass and treble response in wireless mode, Hi-Res audio certification via AUX connection.

Noise Control: Active noise cancellation with four built-in microphones, Transparency mode, Normal mode, and white noise features via Soundcore app.

Battery and Charging: 40 hours battery life with ANC enabled, 5-minute quick charge provides 4 additional hours, USB-C charging cable included.

Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.0 wireless with 10-meter range, 3.5mm AUX jack for wired connection, dual-device connection with automatic audio switching capability.

Compatibility: Works with laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones, smart speakers, and televisions. Includes carrying case, AUX cable, and USB-C charging cable.

Who Should Buy: The Q20i is ideal for commuters, remote workers, frequent travelers, and anyone seeking affordable ANC headphones. It's particularly suited for people who spend extended time in noisy environments like offices, public transit, or airplanes, and those who value all-day battery life and comfortable wear.

Key Considerations: If ANC is essential for wired listening via AUX cable, this model may disappoint since ANC only functions in wireless mode. However, if you primarily use wireless connectivity and want exceptional battery life and noise cancellation, the Q20i excels. The dual-device switching is particularly valuable for professionals juggling laptops and phones throughout the day.

Renewed Model Note: This is a renewed product, meaning it has been professionally inspected and restored to like-new condition. It includes a 90-day limited warranty and comes fully charged, making it an excellent value option compared to brand-new pricing. Renewed products are ideal for budget-conscious buyers comfortable with pre-owned electronics that function identically to new models.

The Soundcore Q20i represents a breakthrough in affordable premium audio. These over-ear headphones combine active noise cancellation technology with exceptional battery life, making them perfect for commuters, remote workers, and frequent travelers who demand professional performance without premium pricing.

The standout feature is the quad-microphone noise cancellation system that intelligently filters background noise in real-world environments like busy offices, public transit, and crowded streets. In wireless mode, BassUp technology delivers impressively deep bass and crisp highs, while the included AUX cable unlocks Hi-Res certified audio for studio-quality listening when you need maximum fidelity.

Battery performance is genuinely impressive: 40 hours with ANC enabled and 60 hours in standard mode means you'll charge these headphones perhaps once a week. The 5-minute quick charge feature provides 4 additional hours of listening, perfect for users on the go. The lightweight 9.12-ounce design with adjustable headband and faux leather ear cups ensures comfort during marathon listening sessions and all-day wear.

The Soundcore app transforms these headphones into a personalized audio device, offering preset EQ profiles, manual sound customization, mode switching, and built-in white noise for focus or relaxation. Automatic audio switching between two connected devices means your workflow remains uninterrupted whether you're moving between work calls and personal music.

The primary limitation is that active noise cancellation only functions in wireless mode, and these headphones lack water resistance for outdoor use in rain or moisture. However, these minor trade-offs are easily acceptable given the feature set and price point. The Soundcore Q20i delivers exceptional value and deserves consideration as a top choice for budget-conscious audio enthusiasts.

Audio Performance: Dynamic drivers with 20Hz-40,000Hz frequency range, 95dB sensitivity, 16 ohm impedance for rich, detailed sound across all frequencies.

Connectivity: Bluetooth wireless technology with 10-meter range, 3.5mm AUX jack for wired listening, dual-device simultaneous connection with automatic audio switching.

Battery: 40 hours with ANC on, 60 hours normal mode, 5-minute fast charge yields 4 hours additional playback.

Design: Foldable construction, 9.12 ounces, faux leather enclosure, over-ear fit with adjustable headband, includes carrying case and AUX cable.

Warranty: 18-month manufacturer coverage, compatible with cellphones, laptops, and tablets.

Best For: Commuters seeking daily noise cancellation, remote workers managing video calls, travelers wanting long battery life, and anyone wanting premium audio on a budget.

Consider If: You need active noise cancellation in wired mode, require water resistance for outdoor activities, or prefer ultra-compact earbuds over over-ear designs.

Key Decision Points: Choose Q20i if battery life and noise cancellation matter most. The dual-mode audio (wireless plus Hi-Res wired) appeals to audiophiles who value flexibility. The app-based customization suits users wanting personalized sound profiles. Multi-device switching benefits anyone juggling work and personal devices throughout the day.

Comparison Context: These headphones punch above their weight when compared to models costing two to three times more, offering comparable noise cancellation, superior battery life, and greater versatility through dual connectivity.

The Bose QuietComfort headphones represent a refined approach to premium wireless audio, targeting professionals, frequent travelers, and audio enthusiasts who demand both comfort and performance. These over-ear headphones combine legendary Bose noise cancellation technology with practical features like 24-hour battery life and multi-device connectivity, making them a versatile companion for work, travel, and daily listening.

The standout feature is undoubtedly the active noise cancellation, which seamlessly blocks environmental distractions while maintaining audio clarity. The dual Quiet and Aware modes give you instant control over your listening environment, while the Wind Block feature specifically tackles outdoor noise. High-fidelity audio with adjustable EQ lets you fine-tune bass, mids, and treble to your preference, and the Spotify Tap feature provides quick access to your favorite music. Real-world performance consistently delivers on these promises, with users reporting exceptional clarity and immersive sound across music, podcasts, and calls.

Design and build quality shine through premium materials including leather and plastic construction with a modern aesthetic. The plush over-ear cushions and padded headband prioritize comfort for extended sessions, and multiple reviewers specifically praise wearing these for hours without discomfort. The included protective case and USB-C charging cable add practical value, while the optional wired audio cable provides a backup when battery runs low.

The main limitation is the lack of water resistance, which restricts use during workouts or outdoor activities in wet conditions. The 240g weight, while not excessive, may concern users sensitive to headphone pressure during extended wear. Additionally, the wired mode lacks microphone functionality, limiting hands-free calling when operating without Bluetooth.

Verdict: The Bose QuietComfort headphones deliver exceptional value for anyone prioritizing noise cancellation, comfort, and all-day battery life. They stand as a best-in-class option for professionals and travelers willing to invest in quality audio and reliability. Highly recommended for daily drivers and frequent flyers seeking premium performance at a reasonable price point.

Consider Alternatives If: You need water resistance for gym use, prioritize ultra-lightweight design, or require advanced spatial audio features. These headphones are not optimized for water-intensive activities or extreme portability scenarios.

Perfect Match For: Professionals on video calls, frequent flyers, students studying in noisy spaces, and anyone who wants to create a personal audio sanctuary without breaking the bank on premium headphones.

The KVIDIO WH304A is a hybrid active noise-cancelling over-ear headphone designed for professionals, students, and anyone seeking powerful audio isolation without breaking the bank. These headphones excel for remote work, online learning, and entertainment in noisy environments where focus matters.

The standout feature is undoubtedly the 70-hour battery life in standard mode, or 40 hours with active noise cancellation enabled. Real-world users report going months without charging, and the 5-minute quick charge delivers 4 hours of playback for emergency situations. The active noise cancellation blocks up to 95% of ambient sound, effectively silencing traffic, neighbors, and household distractions. Advanced DSP technology ensures clear voice quality during calls and video conferences.

Build quality reflects the budget-friendly price point. The plastic enclosure and foldable design keep weight minimal at 0.35 kg, making these portable and travel-friendly. The soft earpads provide adequate comfort for typical workday use, though some users report ear fatigue during extended sessions beyond 2 hours. The transparency mode is a thoughtful addition, allowing you to hear your surroundings or converse without removing the headphones.

Drawbacks include the lack of battery percentage announcements, which leaves you uncertain about remaining charge time. The bulk makes them less suitable for sleeping or side-sleeping. Water resistance is absent, so these aren't suitable for workouts or outdoor use in wet conditions. However, these limitations are reasonable trade-offs for the exceptional battery life and noise cancellation performance.

Verdict: The KVIDIO WH304A represents outstanding value for budget-conscious buyers and anyone prioritizing battery endurance and noise isolation. While not matching premium brands in every aspect, they deliver genuine performance improvements over more expensive competitors at a fraction of the cost. Recommended for remote workers, students, and travelers.

Who Should Consider Alternatives: Athletes requiring water resistance, users needing battery percentage displays, frequent long-haul fliers who need comfort beyond 2-hour sessions, and those requiring premium build materials.

Key Considerations: Test comfort during your first week, as individual ear shapes vary. The 30-day return policy provides adequate time to assess fit. Charge fully before first use. Use wired mode if you want indefinite battery life. The noise cancellation works best in steady ambient noise rather than sudden loud sounds.

The Soundcore Space One represents an excellent value proposition for anyone seeking premium over-ear headphones without premium pricing. These headphones are designed for travelers, remote workers, students, and audio enthusiasts who demand quality noise cancellation, comfort, and sound fidelity. Whether you're commuting, working from a coffee shop, or enjoying music at home, the Space One adapts to your lifestyle.

The standout feature is the upgraded voice reduction technology that automatically detects external sounds and sound leakage, calibrating noise cancellation in real-time. With 5 adjustable ANC levels accessible via the Soundcore app, you have complete control over your listening environment. The 40mm dynamic drivers support LDAC Hi-Res wireless audio, delivering noticeably richer detail compared to standard Bluetooth codecs. In real-world use, the ANC excels at eliminating low-frequency continuous noises like train rumbles and AC hums, making these headphones particularly effective for travel scenarios.

Comfort is a major strength here. The 8-degree rotating ear cups conform naturally to different head shapes, while the memory foam-padded headband distributes pressure evenly for hours of fatigue-free listening. The lightweight design means you won't experience the headache some clamping headphones cause. Battery performance is outstanding with 40 hours of continuous playtime when ANC is enabled, and an impressive 55 hours with ANC disabled. The included travel pouch, 3.5mm cable, and 18-month warranty add genuine value.

The primary drawback is the plastic-forward construction, which feels less premium than metal alternatives at higher price points. Additionally, while the ANC handles low-frequency noise exceptionally well, it doesn't completely eliminate higher-frequency sounds like airplane engines or human speech. The headphones are also not water-resistant, so they're not suitable for workouts or outdoor activities in wet conditions.

The Soundcore Space One is a smart purchase for budget-conscious buyers who refuse to compromise on essential features. With excellent noise cancellation, extended battery life, Hi-Res audio support, and genuine comfort, these headphones deliver professional-grade performance at a fraction of premium brand pricing. Highly recommended for anyone prioritizing practicality and value.

The Sony WH-CH720N is a wireless over-ear headphone designed for everyday listeners who want reliable active noise cancellation without spending a fortune. It sits comfortably in the mid-range segment and targets commuters, students, remote workers, and budget-conscious audiophiles who want a taste of Sony's flagship technology at an accessible price.

At just 192 grams, the WH-CH720N earns its title as Sony's lightest wireless ANC headband to date. The Dual Noise Sensor Technology, driven by the Integrated Processor V1, does a commendable job of filtering out ambient noise in offices, cafes, and on public transport. Reviewers consistently praise the noise cancellation as punching above its weight class, and the Adaptive Sound Control feature intelligently adjusts the audio profile based on your activity and environment.

Sound quality is clear, balanced, and detailed, with the DSEE engine working to restore the richness lost in compressed streaming files. The 30mm dynamic drivers deliver natural vocals and a well-tuned low end without being overly bass-heavy. The 35-hour battery life is a standout, and the quick-charge feature means a short 3-minute top-up gives you an extra hour of playback, which is genuinely useful in a rush.

On the downside, the headphones do not come with a carrying case, which feels like a missed opportunity for travelers. A few users noted that comfort can decrease during very long sessions of 3 hours or more, and the lack of water resistance means these are not suited for gym use or outdoor exercise in variable weather.

Overall, the Sony WH-CH720N delivers exceptional value. It brings meaningful noise cancellation, great battery life, multipoint Bluetooth 5.2, and comfortable wear to a price point that undercuts many competitors. For anyone seeking a capable everyday headphone from a trusted brand, this is a smart and well-rounded choice.

Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.2, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C charging. Bluetooth range up to 10 meters with multipoint connection for two simultaneous devices.

In the Box: WH-CH720N headphones, USB-A to USB-C charging cable (approx. 20cm), 3.5mm headphone cable (approx. 1.2m). Warranty: 1 year manufacturer warranty.

If you are comparing the WH-CH720N to Sony's own lineup, it sits below the premium XM4 and XM5 models, which offer superior noise cancellation, foldable designs, and included carrying cases. However, the CH720N costs significantly less and still delivers a very capable ANC experience for most everyday scenarios.

This headphone is an excellent fit for students, office workers, and daily commuters who need reliable noise isolation and long battery life. It is also a strong option for parents buying headphones for teens or older children, given its lightweight build and straightforward controls.

If you plan to use headphones primarily at the gym or during outdoor runs, you may want to consider a model with at least IPX4 water resistance. Similarly, frequent travelers who pack light should note the absence of a case and may want to purchase one separately for protection.

For anyone stepping into Sony's ecosystem for the first time or upgrading from a budget no-name brand, the WH-CH720N represents a meaningful jump in quality, comfort, and reliability without requiring a large investment.

The Sony WH-1000XM5 represents the pinnacle of premium noise-cancelling headphones, engineered for discerning listeners who demand both performance and comfort. These over-ear headphones cater to professionals, frequent travelers, remote workers, and audiophiles seeking flagship audio quality with exceptional call clarity. The standout feature is undoubtedly the dual-processor noise cancellation system controlling 8 microphones, which creates an unprecedented acoustic seal that adapts automatically to your environment. The new Integrated Processor V1 ensures magnificent sound quality with rich detail and balanced frequency response. Real-world usage confirms the 30-hour battery life claim, with users reporting they rarely need to charge more than once every two weeks during typical use patterns. The 3-minute quick charge capability provides 3 hours of playback, making these headphones practical for spontaneous travel or emergency situations.

Design and build quality excel with a lightweight construction weighing just 8.82 ounces, combined with soft fit leather padding that maintains comfort during extended wear sessions. The touch controls are intuitive and responsive, while the Speak-to-Chat feature intelligently pauses music when you begin speaking. The included redesigned carrying case and comprehensive accessories (USB-C cable, 3.5mm jack, protective case) demonstrate Sony's attention to user convenience and product longevity.

Notable drawbacks include occasional Bluetooth connectivity issues reported by some PC users, which appear resolvable through firmware updates or device resets. Additionally, while call quality is solid for general use, these headphones don't match specialized business headsets designed for extremely noisy environments. The lack of water resistance also limits outdoor exercise applications, though this is typical for premium over-ear designs prioritizing comfort and audio quality.

The Sony WH-1000XM5 delivers exceptional value for professionals and audio enthusiasts seeking the best combination of noise cancellation, battery life, comfort, and sound quality. With a strong track record of durability and consistent performance over years of use, these headphones represent a worthwhile investment for anyone spending significant time in audio-dependent activities.

These headphones excel for business use, entertainment, and travel applications where noise cancellation and extended battery life matter most.

When to Consider Alternatives: If you need water resistance for outdoor exercise, consider sports-specific headphones instead. If you require specialized call quality for extremely noisy environments, dedicated business headsets like the BlueParrott may perform better. For casual listeners seeking budget options, entry-level noise-cancelling headphones offer adequate performance at lower price points.

Key Considerations: Verify Bluetooth compatibility with your primary devices before purchasing. Allow time to adjust equalizer settings for optimal sound to your preferences.
